Some of my specialties are…

Educational Support:

Whether you are a student managing learning differences and/or neurodiversity in school, a parent working to support your child’s learning differences or various challenges they are facing, or an adult processing past educational trauma, I provide a supportive space to navigate your experiences and consider what works best for you.

Many people describe the difficult feelings that arise when traditional education does not (or has not) met their needs. Working to understand your own or your child’s experiences can help you to make clearer decisions, and can provide a path to increased self-confidence, advocacy, and empowerment. As your therapist, my role is to help you through this process.

Chronic Health Conditions

Living with a chronic health condition can add stress and burnout, especially without proper support. I specialize in supporting individuals and families managing a variety of chronic health conditions, with additional specialization and personal experience with:

Diabetes (Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes):
The mental load of diabetes can take a toll. This can be a result of burnout from constant blood sugar monitoring, anxiety around highs and lows, and frustration when others don't understand the complexity of diabetes management. In addition to personal experience with Type 1 Diabetes, I also have formal training from the American Diabetes Association in supporting people with Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes and Gestational Diabetes.

Severe Food Allergies:
Living with severe food allergies can be a lot to handle for anyone. Whether you are managing your own allergies or parenting a child with life-threatening allergies, I help you process the trauma of past reactions, reduce anxiety around food and social situations, and build confidence in advocacy and safety planning.

Parenting and Caregiver Support:

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, doubting your decisions, struggling with the weight of caregiving, or simply need a space to process the hard parts of parenting or otherwise supporting loved ones, I work with you towards feeling more confident and connected.

I work with parents in supporting their anxious child (I have specialized training through Harvard’s SPACE program that supports parents of children with anxiety and OCD), balancing work and family life, and parenting through divorce or other life changes. I also work with caregivers more broadly - partners of those with chronic illnesses who may need some of their own support and medical professionals coping with burnout and stress at work.

Overall, I provide specific strategies, space to process feelings of caregiver burnout without judgment, a place to grieve what's changed, and avenues to sustain yourself while supporting others.
